The University of Western Australia (UWA) has taken the bold step to extract latent value from a number of its land and property assets in order to appropriate funds towards core physical and digital infrastructure and facilities. To do this the UWA has prepared and is now implementing an Asset Value Realisation Strategy. In the lead role as Commercial and Financial Advisor,

Alister provided the following services:

• Performing commercial and financial analysis of several strategic, underutilised assets.

• Establish strategic realisation, transaction and planning approval pathways to optimise value.

• Perform a detailed commercial realisation option analysis for each property including providing recommendations and next steps.

• Undertake a series of detailed risk workshops regarding the procurement of a development partner to assist with rezoning approval.

• Prepare comprehensive EOI and RFP documentation for market implementation.
